The Namsan Cable Car is a facility that allows visitors to ascend from Hoehyeon-dong to the summit of Namsan Mountain while enjoying panoramic views of Seoul. It began operation on May 12, 1962, and continues its history to this day.

The cable car travels approximately 600 meters from the Hoehyeon-dong station to the Yeja-dong station at the peak of Namsan Mountain.
The cable car operates at an average speed of 3.2 meters per second, with a one-way trip taking about 3 minutes. The elevation difference from ground level is approximately 138 meters.

Two cable cars operate simultaneously: one ascending to the summit and one descending towards the main station. Each cable car has a capacity of 48 passengers. When fully occupied, the system is equipped to safely transport 92 passengers round-trip.Shuttle buses depart from Exit 1 of Myeongdong Station or the main entrance of Seoul Square at Seoul Station, taking passengers to the Namsan Cable Car station.
