Dosun Dawon Tea Plantation (도순다원)

Jejudo 152-41, Jungsanganseo-ro 356beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Dosun Dawon Tea Plantation is Korea's first tea plantation to build and operate a modern tea-manufacturing factory. The plantation is an eco-tourism destination that aims to contribute in reducing carbon dioxide and improve the local economy through green tea production. Despite the large field that covers an area of approx. 264,400 ㎡, Dosun Dawon Tea Plantation is not very well known among tourists. However, the plantation is frequented by photographers who visit to take snapshots of the vast field against the backdrop of Hallasan Mountain or Jeju's beautiful ocean.

Donnaeko Resort (Wonangpokpo Falls) (돈내코(원앙폭포))

Dolhareubang Museum (돌하르방미술관)

Jejudo 70 Bukchonseo 1-gil, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Dolhareubang Museum is an outdoor art gallery that exhibits 48 original dolhareubang sculptures recreated by artists native to Jeju Island. Visitors can enjoy the artworks while strolling through the Gotjawal in Jeju. Along the forest path, there are various interpretations of dolhareubang, such as dolhareubang practicing yoga and dolhareubang throwing hearts, providing a fresh perspective on these iconic stone statues.

Dokkaebi Road (Mysterious Road) (도깨비 도로(신비의 도로))

Jejudo Dokkaebi Road is an amusing road that is also called the Jeju Mysterious Road. It earned its name due to the sensation it gives to the drivers when driving down this steep road. When driving this road, the driver and their passengers will feel like as if the car is moving upward instead of moving down the slope. This is actually an optical illusion, in which the surroundings trick the eye and make the road look like it is tilted in the opposite direction. This phenomenon, however, made Dokkaebi Road a popular tourist site. Various safety facilities are being added to prevent accidents from occurring, and a tourist park is expected to be built along the road in the near future. Dodu-dong Rainbow Coastal Road (도두동 무지개해안도로)

Jejudo 1734, Dodu 1(il)-dong, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Dodu-dong Rainbow Coastal Road is a unique road located 10 minutes away by car from the airport. Locals had been voicing their opinions on adding colors to the protective walls installed along the coastal road in order to prevent cars from veering off the road and as a result, the walls came to wear rainbow colors. The road became famous among tourists and became known as the Dodu-dong Rainbow Coastal Road. It is fun to check out the various sculptures in the area including that of a haenyeo (female divers). Nearby Dodubong Peak is within a walking distance, and leads to the Olle Trail course, one of the hidden gems of Jeju Island. The slope is gradual so it is not a difficult course.

Dochidol Ranch (도치돌 알파카목장)

Jejudo 293 Dochidol-gil, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Dochidol Ranch is where one can see alpacas roam freely in an open field admist Jeju's clean air. In addition to watching and interacting with alpacas, visitors can also see other ranch animals like rabbits, ponies, sheep, and goats. The ranch also has several walking paths adorned with seasonal flowers, plants, and trees. It is the perfect place to enjoy Jeju's nature-friendly atmosphere and take photos of adorable animals.

Darangswi Oreum (Wollangbong Peak) (다랑쉬오름(월랑봉))

Jejudo San 6, Sehwa-ri, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Located the Northeastern part of Jeju Island, Darangswi Oreum is a parasitic volcano that stands about 380 meters above sea level. From Darangswi Oreum, visitors can overlook tourist attractions such as Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak), Udo Island, Hallasan Mountain, coastlines, and various parasitic cones. The mountain has an oval shape from south to north with a steep incline. The top has a large, deep funnel-shaped crater that still preserves its original shape unlike craters in cones. The name Darangswi is derived from the fact that the mountain looks like a moon ('Da' meaning 'Moon' and 'Swi' meaning 'Mountain' in the Jeju dialect). Trees are scattered here and there at the top, and the outskirts of the mountain are decorated with cedar trees. Meadow plants such as Aster yomena populate most of the mountain. A gentle hill to the right of Darangswi Oreum is called Akkeun Darangswi Oreum (also called Sowol Nangak). Meaning 'small,' 'Akkeun' is both old Korean and Jeju dialect. Darangswi Oreum hosts Wollang Peak Sunrise Festival every year allowing visitors to see the spectacular full moon from the crater. There are wooden stairs in place for easy ascent, and the mountain is also a popular site for paragliders.

Dangcheomuldonggul Cave [UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site]…

Jejudo Woljeong-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Dangcheomuldonggul Cave, located in Jeju, is a lava tube estimated to have been formed some 320,000 years ago due to volcanic activity; it is located approximately 3 kilometers underground. With no entrance as such, the cave is not open to the general public and thus its original form remains preserved to this day, giving it a high geological value. Although the Dangcheomuldonggul Cave is technically a lava tube, it resembles a limestone cave due to the secondary geological formations of lime substances that have accumulated in the ground above the tube. The tunnel has a spectacular and mystical beauty with countless stalactites and stalagmites, as well as stalactite columns. The particularly thin stalactites and stalactic columns in this cave are well-known for their uniqueness and beauty. Although this is a relatively small lava tunnel, its exotic colors and the richness of the secondary topological formations make it extraordinary in terms of research value. This cave has been designated natural monument. * The UNESCO World Heritage inscribed Geomun Oreum Lava Tube System consists of Bengdwigul, Manjanggul Cave, Gimnyeonggul, Yongcheondonggul and Dangcheomuldonggul Caves.

Daheeyeon Garden (다희연)

Jejudo 117, Seongyo-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Daheeyeon Garden is a major tea farm on Jeju Island, which has the best conditions for growing great tea in a natural environment. Jeju has a year-round average temerature of 16℃ and nutrient-rich soil with plenty of water for the tea plants to grow well. The two cave cafes, Evergreen Luce Garden and Eve Hall, serve naturally fermented green tea bread, cookies, muffins, green tea latte and green tea juice. Evergreen Luce outdoor garden was built inside a cave formed naturally by a volcanic eruption. Despite being in a cave, this outdoor garden has ponds, bridges, indigenous trees and flowers. Eve Hall is located through a hole in the cave ceiling and can be only reached after passing through a tunnel-like cave. The deepest part of Eve Hall is roughly 30 meters and is home to bats; if you are lucky, you might even see a few.

Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliff (주상절리대(대포동지삿개))

Jejudo 36-30, Ieodo-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliff is a stone pillar formed by lava that flowed out of the crater and contracted as it cooled rapidly. It is characterized by its polygonal staircase-like form. The stones are 30 to 40 meters high, hexagonal in shape, and line the coast for about 1 kilometer. The constant crashing of the waves is a highlight not to be missed.

Daejeonghyanggyo Confucian School (대정향교)

Jejudo 165-17, Hyanggyo-ro, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Daejeonghyanggyo was a Confucian school during Joseon Dynasty. Although the exact date of construction is uncertain, it is estimated that the building was built around the same time as Daejeonghyeon in 1416. The school was originally located inside Bukseong but it was once moved outside of Dongmun and then again to the site of Seoseong. It was finally moved to Dansan Oreum where it remains to this day. At present, Daejeonghyanggyo Confucian School consists of Daeseongjeon, Myeongryundang, Dongjae, Seojae Shinsammun, Daeseongmun, Dongmalmun and Dongjeongmun. Daeseongjeon was remodeled in 1669, 1688, and 1752. Myeongryundang was rebuilt in 1772. After several instances of remodeling and rebuilding, Daeseongjeon was remodeled again in 1993. The Confucian school was designated as the Jeju Tangible Cultural Asset No. 4 in August 1971.

Jejudo Cheonji-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do The water of Cheonjiyeonpokpo Falls appears to fall from the heavens, giving it its name, meaning "sky connected with land." The wooded area around the falls is home to the wild dampalsu trees, designated as Natural Monument, as well as a great variety of rare plants such as brambles, and songyeopnan as well as gusiljappam trees, sanyuja trees (Chinese lemon trees), and camellias. All together, this forest is designated as Natural Monument. The waterfall is 22 meters high, 12 meters wide and 20 meters in depth. The clear and deep water of Cheonjiyeonpokpo Falls is designated as Natural Monument No. 27 and is renowned as a habitat for Mutae eels (Natural Monument).

Cheonjin Port (천진항)

Jejudo 1737-15, Yeonpyeong-ri, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Udo Island is the largest of all the smaller islands near Jeju and where the sun rises before anywhere else. It is located at the eastern end of Jeju Island and a popular tourist spot that is always crowded with visitors as there are numerous things to see, eat and enjoy. The island is a bit too big to tour on foot so it is better to enter the island by car, rent an electric scooter or a small electric vehicle once on the island or travel by bus. Udo has two docks located at Cheonjin Port and Haumokdong Port. Cheonjin Port is the gate port into Udo with several electric scooter rental shops, so many tourists get off here. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes from Seongsan Port or Jongdal Port to Cheonjin Port.

Cheonjeyeonpokpo Falls (천제연폭포)

Jejudo 132 Cheonjeyeon-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Cheonjeyeonpokpo Falls is named Cheonjeyeon (The Pond of God) because seven nymphs are said to descend from the cloud bridge in the middle of the night, play on the ground for a while, and then ascend back to the sky. The three-tiered waterfall cascading through the dense forest is a breathtaking sight. The water forms a pond off the first waterfall, which flows into the sea via the second and third waterfalls. Visitors can also admire the Seonimgyo Bridge with seven nymphs carved on the side.
