Namsa Yedamchon Village (남사예담촌)

Nammangsan Sculpture Park (남망산 조각공원)

Namildae Beach (남일대해수욕장)
Gyeongsangnamdo 55, Namildae-gil, Sacheon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Located in Sacheon and home to the huge Elephant Rock that resembles an elephant drinking water, Namildae Beach is a popular vacation spot all year round thanks to its clean water and soft sand. The thick surrounding forests and Jinneol Observation Deck, as well as many fishing spots, add to its popularity. During the summer season, there is a singing competition and film festival. Vacationers can also visit Changseon-Samcheonpo Bridge, the biggest bridge in Asia, and see Hallyeohaesang National Park on a ferry cruise.

Namhae Pyeonbaek National Recreational Forest (국립 남해편백자연휴양림)
Gyeongsangnamdo 658, Geumam-ro, Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Namhae Pyeonbaek National Recreational Forest, opened in 1998, is located near the south sea with a forest full of cypress trees. With a total area of 2.27 million square meters, the recreational forest is an ideal place for relaxation with a view. The observatory, approximately one hour walk from the entrance, provides an amazing view of the south sea with various size islands. The recreational forest offers visitors facilities including accommodations, outdoor classroom and more. There are also many historic sites including Chungnyeolsa Temple.

Namhae Geumsan Boriam Hermitage (금산 보리암(남해))
Gyeongsangnamdo 665, Boriam-ro, Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Boriam Hermitage sits atop Geumsan Mountain (alt. 704 m). The mountain was once called Bogwangsan Mountain as it was home to Bogwangsa Temple, founded by Monk Wonhyo. The name Geumsan was bestowed upon the mountain by King Taejo after he founded the Joseon dynasty. Along with Bomunsa Temple in Ganghwado Island and Hongnyeonam Hermitage in Naksansa Temple, Boriam Hermitage is known as one of the most prestigious prayer spots in Korea.

Namgyeseowon Confucian Academy [UNESCO World Heritage] (남계서원…
Gyeongsangnamdo 8-11 Namgyeseowon-gil, Sudong-myeon, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Namgyeseowon Confucian Academy was established in 1552 as the second Confucian academy in Korea after the Sosuseowon Confucian Academy located in Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Seowon refers to a private educational institution of the Joseon period founded to perform Confucian rituals and nurture talent. “Namgye” is named after the Namgyecheon Stream flowing in its front. It was destroyed by in 1597 during the Imjin War (1592-1598) and rebuilt in 1612. Located on a low hill, it provides an open view of Gaepyeong Hanok Village beyond the field and the stream.

Okpo Shipyard of Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd (한화오션, 옥포조선소)
Gyeongsangnamdo 3370, Geoje-daero, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Okpo Shipyard of Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd (formerly Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering) spans over a 4000,000㎡ land and consists of large-scale specialized facilities and equipments for shipbuilding and repairs such as a dock that can handle a 1,000,000 ton vessel and a 900 ton Goliath crane. The shipyard builds various vessels, offshore plants, drill ships, FPSO/FPUs, submarines and destroyers all year round and offers plant tour programs for visitors.

Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park (옥포대첩기념공원)
Gyeongsangnamdo 87, Pallangpo 2-gil, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park was built in 1996 to commemorate Admiral Yi Sun-sin's first victory of the Okpo Battle during the Imjin War (1592-1598). Visitors can go up the memorial tower and Okporu Pavilion to get an unobstructed view of the Okpo Bay ahead. In addition to the tower and pavilion, the park also has a shrine dedicated to Admiral Yi.

Okcheonsa Temple (옥천사)
Gyeongsangnamdo 471-9, Yeonhwasan 1-ro, Gaecheon-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Okcheonsa Temple was built in the 16th year of King Munmu's reign (676) during the Silla dynasty. The name “Okcheon,” which means "jade spring," was derived from the mineral spring located next to the main hall. The temple holds several valuable cultural assets, such as the state-designated heritage Bronze Gong of Okcheonsa (Treasure No. 495) and 119 city/province-designated heritage properties, including Jabangnu Pavilion, Hyangno (incense burner), Daeungjeon Hall, and Daejong (bell). The linden tree at the Cheongnyeonam was designated as Monument No. 82 for its great academic value. There are other small temples nearby, such as Baengnyeonam, Cheongyeonam, and Yeondaeam. Those interested in learning more about Buddhism can drop by Yeonhwasan Provincial Park’s Bojanggak Hall, an exhibition hall built to preserve about 120 pieces of Buddhist artifacts.

Oedo-Botania (외도 보타니아)
Gyeongsangnamdo 17, Oedo-gil, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Oedo-Botania is a marine botanical garden located on an island in Hallyeohaesang National Park between Tongyeong and Geojedo Island. What started over 30 years ago as a private garden has expanded to cover the entire island in a plethora of plants in European-style gardens, accented by scultures and statues. The garden blooms in a riot of flowers in April, and visitors can walk in the cool shade of the forested trails in summer. Recently, dinosaur footprints were found on the island, adding to its value. The island's cafe offers drinks and light snacks, along with a fantastic view of Haegeumgang Island and the surrounding blue sea. Oedo-Botania is only accessable via a ferry tour, and there are no accommodations on the island.

Odosan Healing Forest (오도산 치유의 숲)
Gyeongsangnamdo 398, Odosanhyuyang-ro, Bongsan-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Odosan Healing Forest is nestled at the foot of the tall Odosan Mountain (1,133 meters above sea level) in Hapcheon. The mountain spans the areas covering Gajo-myeon in Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do and Myosan-myeon and Bongsan-myeon in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Odosan is at the end of the Gayasan Mountain Range along with Dumusan Mountain (1,039 meters above sea level), which is situated 2 kilometers to the northeast. North of Odosan Healing Forest, you will find Haeinsa Temple, home to the Tripitaka Koreana and one of the three major temples in Korea, as well as Gayasan Mountain, and Maehwasan Mountain. Hapcheonho Lake is south of the forest, so there are several tourist destinations in the area and the natural landscape is superb. The azaleas and royal azaleas are in full bloom in spring; cool valley waters can be enjoyed in summer; and the mountain's colorful fall foliage is as beautiful as that of Naejangsan Mountain, a renowned spot to enjoy autumn colors. You can enjoy mountain climbing along the valley surrounded by thick forests. It is said that Doseon, a well-known monk from the late Silla Dynasty, was fascinated by the energy and beauty of Odosan Mountain and practiced asceticism there.Enjoying the Odosan Recreational ForestConvenient facilities unfold along the valley within the Odosan Recreational Forest, such as the visitor information center, forest cabins, a communal kitchen, camp decks, campsites, etc. Notably, the hiking trail behind the forest cabins follows the clear stream that flows year-round, leading to Sukseongsan Peak, a small peak on the slope of Odosan Mountain. The trail overlooks Hapcheonho Lake and offers hikers a beautiful view. Odosan Recreational Forest consists of dense natural forests filled with pine and oak trees that are 20 to 50 years old. Also, a variety of vegetation, including the wild cherry, crimson glory vine (called meoru in Korea), and kiwiberry vine (called darae in Korea), as well as herbaceous plants can be found here. This makes it an ideal site for students, including teenagers, to learn about nature.

Odojae Pass & Jirisan View Park (오도재와 지리산조망공원)

Naewonsagyegok Valley (내원사계곡)
Gyeongsangnamdo 207, Naewon-ro, Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Naewonsagyegok Valley is located just below Naewonsa Temple at the foot of Cheonseongsan Mountain. The valley is surrounded by Jeongjoksan Mountain to the northeast, Wonjeoksan Mountain to the south, and Cheonseongsan Mountain to the southeast. The water running through the numerous valleys between these mountains has formed streams like Yongyeoncheon and Sangnicheon, which form the Yangsancheon Stream out of Naewonsagyegok Valley. Naewonsagyegok Valley was formerly called Sogeumgang (little Geumgang), meaning that its beautiful scenery is comparable to that of the breathtaking Geumgangsan Mountain. It is also known as the “mystical valley” as crystal clear water flows all year round. The word “Sogeumgang” is distinctly engraved on one side of the cliff and large rocks stand in layers throughout the valley. Some of the rocks are called Byeongpungbawi Rock, literally meaning folding screen rocks, as they are stretched out much like folding screens. The valley and the surrounding mountains are a popular summer vacation spot and a well-known hiking destination during the spring, fall, and winter. Muk (acorn jelly) made with acorns gathered from this area not only tastes great, but is also very healthy. Nearby attractions include Tongdosa Temple and Hongnyongpokpo Falls. * Entrance into the upper region of Naewonsagyegok Valley is restricted.

Nodo Island (Kim Manjung Historic Site) (노도(김만중유허지))
