Yu Chi-hwan Postbox Observatory (유치환 우체통 전망대)

Busan 2, Mangyang-ro 580beon-gil, Dong-gu, Busan This is an observatory located along Sanbok-ro Road in Choryang-dong, Dong-gu, Busan. A mailbox was installed to celebrate the artworks and literature of famous poet Yu Chi-hwan. The observatory is divided into two levels. The first level consists of a terraced outdoor performance stage, while the second level is an art exhibition area, designed with floor to ceiling windows.

Yongdusan Park (용두산공원)

Busan 37-55 Yongdusan-gil, Jung-gu, Busan Situated at the heart of Busan, Yongdusan Park is famous for its escalators, which connect the Nampo-dong area with the park. The park has a great view of the Busan Port and the Yeongdo area. Notable sights in the area include the Busan Tower, the Statue of Admiral Yi Sunsin, a bell pavilion, a flower clock, and a sculpture of a dragon. The observatory on the Busan Tower offers an expansive view of Busan’s city center, the Busan Port, and the South Port at the distance. The view of the city at night is also not to be missed. Nearby tourist sites include many of Busan’s famous sights, from Gwangbok-dong Cultural & Fashion Street to Jagalchi and Gukje Markets.

Yongdusan Jagalchi Special Tourist Zone (용두산 자갈치 관광특구)

Busan 52, Jagalchihaean-ro, Jung-gu, Busan Yongdusan Jagalchi Special Tourist Zone is an attractive tourism area embracing history and culture. Vendors in the traditional market welcome tourists with their warm hearts, selling their famous street food such as rice cake, ssiat hotteok (sugar-filled seeded griddlecake), bibim dangmyeon (spicy glass noodles), pat juk (red bean porridge), and pat bingsu (shaved ice with sweetened red beans). Bosu-dong and 40-Step Culture & Tourism Themed Street also show the history of each street to people traveling in the area. Including Yongdusan Park, the special tourist zone includes traditional markets like Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market, and Bupyeong Market, and historical cultural resources like Yeongdodaegyo Bridge, Bosu Book Street, and Busan Modern History Museum. The restoration of Yeongdodaegyo Bridge in November 2013 has created a unique sightseeing attraction that is hard to see in other regions and has emerged as a new famous spot. Bupyeong (Kkongtong) Market and Gukje Market are also special markets full of things to see. Various festivals including Busan International Film Festival, Busan Jagalchi Festival, and Busan Christmas Tree Festival are held for all kinds of visitors. The view from Yongdusan Park and fresh seafood from Jagalchi Market, as well as peaceful strolling at Bosu Book Street and 40-Steps make a trip to Busan memorable and happy. Yeongdodaegyo Bridge (영도대교)

Busan 46, Taejong-ro, Yeongdo-gu, Busan Yeongdodaegyo Bridge, connecting Nampo-dong and Yeongdo Island, was the first bridge to connect the mainland to one of the nearby islands in Busan. The bridge lifted to allow ships to pass between the south and north ports, and made a passage for ships anywhere from two to seven times in one day. When the bridge was first constructed, many people would gather to watch the strange spectacle of a bridge rising up to point to the sky. The bridge remains a famous landmark of Busan even to this day.

Yeongdo Lighthouse (영도 등대)

Busan 181, Jeonmang-ro, Yeongdo-gu, Busan Yeongdo Lighthouse, first lit in 1906, stands at Taejongdae Park. It houses a maritime library, galleries, an observatory, and a café. From the observatory, on clear days, you can even see as far as the Japanese island of Tsushima Island. At the base of the lighthouse, there's a sculpture of a woman turned into stone, waiting for her husband who went out to sea. You can reach it by walking from Taejongdae Park or taking the Taejongdae Danubi Train.

UN Sculpture Park (UN조각공원)

Busan Daeyeong-dong, Nam-gu, Busan UN Sculpture Park is located next to the UN Memorial Cemetery where the souls of UN soldiers who served in the Korean War rest in peace. The sculpture park exhibits 34 pieces of artworks created and donated by sculptors from 21 nations who provided support in the Korean War. These sculptures were created as a part of UN Memorial Park International Sculpture Symposium (September 15-30, 2000) that commemorated the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War in honor of those who fought in the war. The UN Sculpture Park had its opening ceremony on October 24, 2001.

UN Memorial Cemetery (재한유엔기념공원 (UN기념공원))

Busan 93 UN pyeonghwa-ro, Nam-gu, Busan UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea stands as the sole UN cemetery globally, established by the UN Command in 1951 to inter fallen soldiers from the Korean War. Initially accommodating around 11,000 individuals, it later saw the repatriation of many, with 2,300 remains laid to rest. Soldiers from 11 nations, including the United States and the United Kingdom, find their final resting place here. Spaland Centum City (스파랜드 센텀시티)

Busan 35 Centum nam-daero, Haeundae-gu, Busan Spaland Centum City has the merit of being both a traditional Korean-style public bath and an urban Japanese-style public bath. Spaland offers services tailored to customer's preferences by using carbonated and saline hot springs drawn from 1,000 meters underground. The facility consists of two floors and an outdoor spa. There are 22 baths including a kid's bath, 13 jjimjilbang facilities (Korean sauna), saunas, and an open-air foot bath.
