Sueojangdae Post (수어장대)
Gyeonggido 107-65, Namhansanseong-ro 780beon-gil, Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do The Sujeongjangdae Pavilion is a military watchtower built for command and observation purposes. It is the only remaining one of the five pavilions (Dongjangdae, Seojangdae, Namjangdae, Bukjangdae, Oedongjangdae) that once stood at Namhansanseong Fortress. Located at the summit of Cheongnyangsan Mountain (482m above sea level), it is the most splendid and magnificent structure remaining within the fortress walls. The lower level is a two-story pavilion with a hip-and-gable roof, measuring 5 bays wide and 3 bays deep. The upper level measures 3 bays wide and 2 bays deep. Both levels feature overlapping eaves. The ends of the rafters are adorned with clay finials, dragon heads are placed on the eave ridges, and dragon-head finials crown the ridgepole. The building's pillars rest on octagonal pillar bases 60 cm high, and the brackets are of the main-post style with protruding eaves. In the 27th year of King Yeongjo's reign (1751), it was expanded into a two-story pavilion. A plaque reading ‘Sueojangdae (Defensive Command Post)’ was installed on the exterior, and one reading ‘Muwangnu (Tower of Remembrance)’ was placed inside. Yumyeongsan Mountain (유명산)
Gyeonggido Okcheon-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun & Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do Originally, no name was given to this mountain on topographical maps. But in 1973, when the Empor Alpine Club reached the mountain during a hike across the nation, the club members named it after Jin Yu-myeong, a member of the expedition. On old maps, the mountain had been called Mayusan Mountain because of the horses raised in the area, but today it is more widely known as Yumyeongsan Mountain. The trail that starts from Yangpyeong leads to an expansive and open grassland. The hiking trails are also connected to those of Mount Daebusan and Mount Sogunisan. On the summit, there is a pile of stones, and the view from the top is splendid.

Blanketed by pine nut forests, the valley’s clear waters flow past rocky walls and ridges, forming natural pools along its course.
