It boasts a goblin trail, four-season sledding options (grass sled, water sled, and snow sled), swimming pools, a nature learning center focusing on wild plants, valleys, and animals, a traditional game ground, an adventure playground, an insect experience center, and guided forest tours. Ondal Tourist Area (온달관광지)

Chungcheongbukdo 23, Ondal-ro, Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Ondal Tourist Area is the site of a battle between Goguryeo and Silla in the 6th Century over the control of the Hangang River. It is home to Ondal Exhibition Hall, the Ondal Open Film Set, Ondalsanseong Fortress, and Ondaldonggul Cave, inspired by the story of Goguryeo general Ondal and Princess Pyeonggang. Many Korean historical shows have been filmed in the Ondal Open Film Set. Ondaldonggul Cave was formed by the dissolution of limestone created during the Paleozoic period.

Namcheongyegok Valley (남천계곡)

Chungcheongbukdo 375, Namcheongyegok-ro, Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Namcheongyegok Valley is located on the northern side of Sobaeksan National Park. The forest is preserved quite well because the valley is located deep within the mountain. Freshwater fishes can be found within the clear water of the valley. The lush plants and clear water in summer and the fall foliage in autumn present a beautiful view. Follow the small trails to find the Namcheon Campground, where one can enjoy camping deep in the forest.

Okcheon Yongamsa Temple (용암사(옥천))

Chungcheongbukdo 400, Samcheong 2-gil, Okcheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Yongamsa Temple, located in the mid-slope of Jangyongsan Mountain, is a branch of Beopjusa Temple. It was built during the Silla period. Unlike the more common temple arrangements, the stone pagoda in Yongamsa is uniquely situated on a low peak in the north with a view on all sides. The East and West Three-story Stone Pagodas of Yongamsa Temple, a designated Treasure, can be found here, as well as Rock-caved Buddha, and Wooden Seated Amitabha Buddha in Daeseongjeon Hall.

Myungam Well-being Town (명암산채건강마을)

Chungcheongbukdo 574, Myeongam-ro, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Situated at an altitude of 400 meters between Gamaksan Mountain and Seokgiam Peak, Myungam Well-being Town is nestled in the countryside and surrounded by mountains and streams. The town has eight traditional accommodations made of stone and red clay, a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), Oriental medicine clinic, medicinal herb garden, weekend rural market, sports field, barbecue area, karaoke machine, restaurant, benches by the stream, pavilion, hiking trails, and mountain bike paths. This family-oriented well-being resort also provides hanbang (herbal medicine) treatments and a pine needle and sweat therapy. The Oriental medicine clinic was established by the city of Jecheon to offer treatments for visitors with atopy, geriatric diseases and chronic diseases.

Neungganggyegok Valley, Eoreumgol Valley (능강계곡, 얼음골)

Chungcheongbukdo San 30-4, Neunggang-ri, Susan-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Neungganggyegok Valley (Eoreumgol Valley) is within the mountains near the Cheongpungho Lake. Located in a high area surrounded by mountains, the sun reaches the area far less than others. In fact, the name Eoreumgol Valley references how the lush forests and the area’s geographical features have made the summer here so cool that the ice (eoreum) is said to have been left frozen even in the x_height of summer. The water originating from Eoreumgol Valley flows into the Cheongpungho Lake through Neungganggyegok Valley.

National Center for Forest Therapy, Jecheon (국립제천치유의숲)

Chungcheongbukdo 590 Hakhyeonsoya-ro, Cheongpung-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do The National Center for Forest Therapy, Jecheon is under the Korea Forest Welfare Institute of the Korea Forest Service. It was established with the aim of promoting public health and improving quality of life by providing forest well-being services. The center spans an area of 61.3 hectares (the healing center covering 494.82 square meters). The staff consists of a total of eight employees (one center head, four specializing in forest therapy, and three in operational support).In April 2015, the Korea Forest Service and the National Police Agency signed an MOU to create this national center. It took approximately three years to develop the center, from September 2016 to May 2019.In October 2019, the organizational structure was established, and a pilot forest therapy program was initiated. The center's opening ceremony took place in November 2020. Currently, the center offers customized individual and group forest well-being services.<Award History> (June 2020) Geumsusan Mountain Forest Laughter Therapy was certified as an excellent forest education program by the Korea Forest Service. / (August 2020) Chosen as a recommended place (Healing Forest) by the Korea Tourism Organization. / (October 2020) Received the Encouragement Award at the Forest Well-being Program Competition. / (December 2020) Received the Excellence Award at the COVID-19 Recovery Exemplary Case Contest hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

Hwayang Valley (Hwayangdonggyegok Valley) (화양구곡 (화양동계곡))

Chungcheongbukdo 78, Hwayangdong-gil, Cheongcheon-myeon, Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Hwayang Valley, located 32 kilometers east from Cheongju, was designated Songnisan National Park in 1975. The vivid green mountains and clear waters make it a highly sought after tourist spot. The nearby Seonnyudonggyegok Valley, just 7 kilometers away, is also a huge draw for travelers. Hwayang Valley is composed of various shaped rocks such as Cheomseongdae Observatory, Neungundae Observatory, Waryongam Rock and Eupgungam Rock. Well-known statesman from the Joseon Dynasty, Song Si-yeol, visited the valley and wept for King Hyojong offering his final bow. This rock where he cried was then named Eupgungam Rock meaning ‘crying bow’ Rock. Waryongam Rock gets its name from its shape, which is said to look like a wriggly dragon. Cheomseongdae Observatory was used in order to forecast weather patterns.

Chungcheongbukdo 1170, Chungjuhosu-ro, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do Gyemyeongsan Recreational Forest is located on Gyemyeongsan Mountain, part of the Sobaeksan Mountain Range, and has outstanding views of Chungjugho Lake. Although the park is small in size, the recreational forest provides a peaceful and relaxing getaway with lush pine tree forest along with diverse animals and plants. The trees are great for forest bathing, and are beautiful in autumn when the leaves turn crimson. <BR>Nearby attractions include Suanbo Hot Springs, Songnisan Mountain, Eight Sights of Danyang, and Chungjuho Lake. Goesan Historic House of Song Byeong-il (괴산 송병일 고택)

The layout features distinct sarangchae (the men's quarter) and anchae (the women's quarter), with a gate and a storage facility for essential supplies situated between them. Here, people gather together, connect with nature, relieve stress, and recharge their energy, while enjoying healing moments for their mind and body.The center runs various programs. Ongdalsaem Stay is the most peaceful way to experience the center. The 'Moment of Pause' Stay is the center's signature 'daily meditation' program where people can take a break from their busy lives to rest and recharge through meditation.
