Wondangsaem Park (원당샘공원)
Seoul 16 Haedeung-ro 32ga-gil, Dobong-gu, Seoul Wondangsaem Pond is named after the Wondang village, where the Yun family settled about 600 years ago. It is a park that harmoniously blends a traditional pond with a Hall of Rejoicing Pavilion called Samojeong, a wall fall, and a floral wall. During autumn, the golden foliage of an 800-year-old ginkgo tree enriches the surroundings, and a deck path around the tree offers a delightful stroll.

Wondang Horse Ranch (Let's Run Farm) (원당종마목장 (렛츠런팜 원당))
Gyeonggido 233-112, Seosamneung-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do Wondang Horse Ranch became famous as it was used as a drama filming site. It includes some dangerous facilities and therefore certain restrictions apply to the public. Inside the ranch, visitors can watch horses taking a leisure walk on the pasture. The ranch is a place for training jockeys and horse-related workers, and do not serve as a citizen’s park. Hence, drinking, cooking, making noises, engaging in any forms of sports activity including using balls or installing tents are prohibited in this area. Gangwondo 760 Jajangnamusup-gil, Inje-gun, Gangwon-do Wondae-ri Birch Forest near Inje-eup is an exemplar of natural eco-tourism, established by planting 690,000 birch trees across 138 hectares from 1974 to 1995. Today, 25 hectares of this expansive area serve as a forest experience center tailored for children. Two main trails are available: the Wonjeong Forest Trail, with an 80-minute walking time, and the shorter Wondae Forest Trail, taking about an hour to traverse. The trails lead hikers through a dense forest of birch trees, some over two decades old, whose stark white trunks reach skyward, creating an ethereal atmosphere. This forest not only offers a journey through its unique ecosystem but also provides aesthetic pleasure and educational opportunities, securing its status as a distinguished eco-tourism site in Inje-gun. In winter, the snow-blanketed landscape alongside the stark white birches creates a picturesque tableau, making it a favored spot for photography. For families, especially those with children, the forest is a treasure trove of educational fun, with activities available at the Children’s Forest Experience Center, including Forest Classroom and Indian House, fostering a connection with nature.Note: Some areas may close temporarily to prevent forest fires and preserve the ecosystem, so please check availability before visiting.◎ Travel information to meet Hallyu’s charmThis location was the romantic date spot for Jin-ah (played by Son Ye-jin) and Joon-hee (played by Jung Hae-in) in the TV series "Something in the Rain." Wolseonggyegok Valley (월성계곡)
Gyeongsangnamdo Wolseong-ri, Buksang-myeon, Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Wolseonggyegok Valley is formed by the eastward flow of Wolseongcheon Stream, creating a remarkable landscape as the water winds around rocks and cliffs, earning it the nickname Geochang's Sogeumgang. Though narrow, the valley boasts a deep mountain terrain with abundant water flow. At the entrance of the valley, there are notable sites like Gangseondae Overlook, where it is said that immortals descended from heaven to enjoy the scenery, as well as the ancient Moamjeong and Deoksanjeong Pavilions.

Wolpo Dugok Beach (두곡, 월포해수욕장)

Surrounded by a pine forest, it is a perfect place to spend quiet family time and enjoy rock fishing. The coastal road next to the beach offers a breathtaking view. The beach is 70 meters wide and 900 meters long with an average depth of 1-2 meters.

Wolmyeong Park (월명공원)
Jeollabukdo 26-3, Wolmyeonggongwon 1-gil, Gunsan-si, Jeonbuk-do Wolmyeong Park is a popular tourist destination in Gunsan and connects five mountains in the vicinity. The park has 12 kilometers of walking trails, as well as an observatory, sculpture park, and various monuments. From Susi Tower, which resembles a flame or wind-blown sail, people can see all of downtown Gunsan, the sea to the south of Gunsan, the mouth of the Geumgang River, and the large Janghang smelting factory. The park has well-arranged gardens and 30-year old rattan and cherry trees. A cherry blossom photo contest is held every April, when the park is covered in cherry blossoms.

Wolmido Island (월미도)
Incheon 36 Wolmimunhwa-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon Wolmido Island has very few historical records, despite being the location of a temporary palace, built in 1653 during the reign of King Hyojong. The palace was built on the eastern side of the island, but it is impossible to find traces of it now. From the late 1920s until the '30s, the island was transformed into a resort, a very popular destination at the time. Wolmi Culture Street opened in July 1989 and helped improve the area's fame. On weekends and holidays, people flock to Wolmido Island to enjoy coffee and fresh seafood at the cafes and restaurants overlooking the sea. Despite being 1 kilometer off the coast, Wolmido is no longer an island, being connected to the mainland through modern construction techniques. It is now an easily accessible retreat for locals and tourists alike.

Wolmi Zzang Land (Wolmi Theme Park) (월미짱랜드)

Spanning 13,200 square meters, it features various amusement rides including a ferris wheel, swing boat, and go-karts. Visitors can also enjoy panoramic views of Songdo Town, the Incheon Bridge, and Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge from the ferris wheel.

Wolmi Special Tourist Zone (월미 관광특구)

The area has plenty of modern architecture and cultural heritages embracing the history of the open port era. Incheon Port is conveniently located to facilitate the flow of products from other civilizations. Included in the open port, Incheon Chinatown has various Chinese restaurants, a modern history museum, and exhibition hall where visitors can look into the past and current life of Chinese people living in Korea. Jayu Park Cultural Tourism Festival and Songwol-dong Donghwa Village Festival are held here every spring. In addition, the Museum of Korea Emigration History, date courses, and Wolmi Cultural Street, offering up various sliced raw fish restaurants, and fine cafes are all available in the zone. Wolmi Observatory offers a view overlooking the port and downtown at once. The coastal pier approaching the port offers the active atmosphere of coming and going ships and the lively fish market. Enjoying various fish dishes and sea-fishing, or walking along the ocean square are recommended activities.

Wolmi Sea Train (월미바다열차)
Incheon 269 Jemullyang-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon Wolmi Sea Train is Korea's longest urban tourist monorail, stretching over 6.1 kilometers. The train travels at an average speed of 9 kilometers per hour, taking 42 minutes to complete one loop around Wolmido. The tracks are located between 7 and 18 meters off the ground, offering a view over all Wolmido has to offer. The views out over the sea are especially beautiful at sunset.

The street is lined with benches for people to rest, and one can usually find artists here drawing portraits. The street passes Wolmi Park and Wolmi Observatory, providing outstanding views of Incheon Port and the Wolmido area. Family visitors and couples enjoy stopping by Wolmi Theme Park to enjoy the amusement rides. The Moonlight Music Fountain is rather small in size, but is a beloved attraction of Wolmi Culture Street.

Chungcheongbukdo 47, Wonchondong 1-gil, Hwanggan-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Wollyubong Peak is one of The Eight Sights of Hancheon, a collection of eight beautiful sights around Wollyubong Peak on the eastern side of Yeongdong-gun. The Eight Sights of Hancheon were named by Song Si-yeol (1607-1689), a prominent Joseon-era politician. Wollyubong Trail provides easy access to the area's scenery. Azalea and royal azalea in springtime and a colorful landscape with maple and other fall colors in autumn make it a more beautiful place.

Woljeongsa Temple & Needle Fir Forest (월정사.월정사전나무숲)
