Hoengseong Natural Recreation Forest (횡성자연휴양림)

Hoengseong National SoopCheWon (국립횡성숲체원)

It is Korea's first national forest education center to be opened and operated by the Korea Forest Welfare Institute. Follow the Neulsolgil trail along the nut pine trees to reach the Forest Healing Center to experience the wellness programs available for visitors of all ages. Visitors can also enjoy nature to the fullest by catching glimpses of small wild animals like squirrels and pine cones among the trees. There's also a creek by the birch forest and a walking deck suited for visitors of all ages and wheelchair users.

Hwanseongul Cave (Daei-ri Cave System) (환선굴 (대이리 동굴지대))

Gangwondo 800 Hwanseon-ro, Singi-myeon, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do Hwanseongul Cave is the largest limestone cave in Asia, formed estimated 530 million years ago. The cafe features fantastic rocks in various shapes, stalagmites, and stalactites. There have been 47 new breeds of animals discovered in Hwanseongul Cave, with four of these being found to only live in this cave. In April 2010, a monorail was installed within the cave to make it more convenient for people to see all the natural habitat.

It offers high-quality programs such as life detox, forest education & therapy, and healing experiences utilizing content that combines natural healing factors with cultural and artistic elements. Notably, High Healing 1 was chosen as one of the '64 Recommended Wellness Destinations of 2023' by the Korea Tourism Organization and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Hwangji Pond (황지연못)

Gangwondo 12 Hwangjiyeonmot-gil, Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do Hwangji Pond, located in downtown Taebaek, is a source of the Nakdonggang River, flowing all the way to the Yeongnam Plain. Herbnara Farm (허브나라농원)

Gangwondo 225 Heungjeonggyegok-gil, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do Herbnara Farm opened in 1996 as the first herb-themed farm in Korea. The farm was started in a deep valley in Pyeongchang by a couple whose age added up to 100 years. At that time, the farm was just a small plot of land, but has expanded to the current 33,000 ㎡ and is one of Pyeongchang's representative tourist attractions. The farm offers ten themed gardens with over 150 herbs such as lavender and sage. Delicious dishes and drinks made with herbs cultivated on the farm are available at the restaurant and cafe. Visitors can also make herbal soap and candles in the herb classroom, and enjoy cultural events throughout the farm.

Heonhwa-ro Road (헌화로)

Heo Gyun and Heo Nanseolheon Memorial Park (허균·허난설헌 기념공원)

Gangwondo 1-29 Nanseolheon-ro 193beon-gil, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do 'Heo Gyun and Heo Nanseolheon Memorial Park was established to honor the Heo siblings: Heo Gyun, the author of Story of Hong Gildong (a 17th-century novel, the first of its kind written in Hangeul), and Heo Nanseolheon, one of Korea's most esteemed female writers. This literary park features the Memorial Hall, the site of Heo Nanseolheon's birth home, a traditional tea experience space, and lush green areas. Every April and September, the Nanseolheon Cultural Festival offers puppet theater, exhibitions, children’s experience programs, and tea ceremony activities.

Hapyeonghaebyeon Beach (하평해변(동해))

Gangwondo Pyeongneung-dong, Donghae-si, Gangwon-do Hapyeonghaebyeon Beach is a tranquil beach with a shallow shore lined with pine groves. The beach is only 20 minutes away on foot and 10 minutes' ride from Donghae Express Bus Terminal, making it a great beach destination for family vacationers and tourists. The 20-meter wide shoreline is 200 meters in lenth, all covered with white sand. The beach also has rocks along the coast that act as a natural breakwater, preventing rough waves from entering the shore, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for swimming.
