Busan 4 Nampo-gil, Jung-gu, Busan Busan’s modern movie district was originally little more than a pair of cinemas that were built following Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule over half a century ago. However, major renovations took place ahead of the first Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), and the newly transformed district was named BIFF Square on September 13, 1996.Having been remade into a cultural tourist attraction promoting the advancement of Korea’s film industry, BIFF Square has contributed to Busan’s status as an international cultural tourist city. The 428 meter-long street stretching from the Buyeong Theater in Nampo-dong to the overpass in Chungmu-dong was divided into “Star Street” and “Festival Street,” and on the eve of the festival each year the “BIFF Square Ground Opening” is held here. During the ceremony, events such as the hand printing of famous movie celebrities and Nunkkot Jeomdeung (snow-flower lighting) take place. A district such as BIFF Square, crowded with first-run theaters in a city is rare not only in Asia but Europe as well, and for this reason it holds great potential. In recent years, the square has grown into a more complex area, featuring not only movie theaters but also shops and leisure facilities, attracting growing numbers of young visitors and tourists.

Bieung Port (비응항)

Jeollabukdo 74-11 , Bieungnam-ro, Gunsan-si, Jeonbuk-do Bieung Port is the starting point of Saemangeum Embankment which is at the entrance of the Saemangeum tourist area. Bieung Port was once closed due to the excess of soil sedimentation after the construction of Geumgang Estuary seawall. In addition, when the shores were closed off with the Saemangeum Embankment reconstruction project, a new port was in need and thus Bieung Port was repaired and reopened along with two other ports. Bieung Port in particular was constructed as a multi-functioning fisheries port so that it may be incorporated with the nearby attractions in the tourism business.

Bidulginangpokpo Falls-Hantangang River Geopark (비둘기낭폭포-한탄강 …

Gyeonggido Daehoesan-ri, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do Bidulginangpokpo Falls, Natural Monument No. 537, is located within a small valley. The waterfall is surrounded by grand columnar joints. The landscape appears quite mysterious and serene, earning it a spot as a poplar filming site for historical dramas. The falls gets it's name ("Pigeon Falls" in Korean) from the story of many wild pigeons nesting in the caves around the waterfall. Other say the name comes from the area's shape. During heavy rainfall, the road to the waterfall is closed, so checking the weather before visiting is recommended.

Bichwie Muldeulda Gallery Cafe (비취에물들다)

Jeollanamdo 20-16 Cheongjachon-gil, Daegu-myeon, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do Gangjin is a historic place that produced celadon from the late Unified Silla period to the end of the Goryeo period. Bichwie Muldeulda Gallery Cafe is a celadon-themed gallery café run by Kim Bo-bae, who comes from a family of ceramic craftsmen and runs the ceramic craft store Gukbo, which is connected to the café. The Goryeo Celadon Museum is also nearby. This café makes coffee using a celadon coffee grinder and serves it in a celadon mug. Visitors can also enjoy a celadon hand painting experience and a potter's wheel experience here. Items made from the experience program will be be baked in a kiln and delivered through parcel service. The experience takes about 30 to 40 minutes.

Biamsa Temple - Sejong (비암사(세종))

Sejong 137, Biamsa-gil, Sejong-si The origin of Biamsa Temple is unknown, but the temple's architectural features suggest that it was built during the mid Goryeo dynasty period (918-1392). The Geungnakbojeon Hall and the three-storied pagoda inside the temple have been designated as Cultural Properties of Chungcheongnam-do Province. The flamboyang and delicately crafted datjip (canopy) inside the Geungnakbojeon Hall was restored in 1657 during the 8th year of King Hyojong's reign. In the yard in front of the Geungnakbojeon Hall stands the three meter-high Samcheungseoktap (three-storied stone pagoda). With the discovery of Samyeongunsang stone statues near the top of the pagoda, Biamsa Temple became more widely known to the public. Among the stone statues, Gyeyumyeongjeonssi-amitabul-samjonseoksang (three Buddha statues) has been named as National Treasure No. 106, and Gichukmyeong-amitayeorae-jebulbosalseoksang (statue of Amitabha bodhisattva) and Mireukbosal-bangaseoksang (statue of Maitreya bodhisattva) have been designated as National Treasures No. 367 and No. 368, respectively. The stone statues are preserved in National Museum of Korea. Meanwhile, the three-storied stone pagoda was designated as Tangible Cultural Property No. 119 of Chungcheongnam-do Province on July 19, 1985.

Beoryeong-ri Metasequoia Trail (벌영리 메타세콰이어길)

Gyeongsangbukdo Yeonghae-myeon, Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do The trees that line Beoryeong-ri Metasequoia Trail were planted and cared for by a single individual. The tall trees that seem to touch the sky create a peaceful feeling, as if all will be right in the world. The forest trail is open to visitors for free, making it a popular destination for relaxing in a natural environment.

Beopsuchigyegok Valley (법수치계곡)

Gangwondo Beopsuchi-ri, Hyeonbuk-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do Beopsuchigyegok Valley meanders through the northern and southern areas of Gangneung and Yangyang, eventually merging with the East Sea. To reach Beopsuchigyegok Valley on the northern side of Odaesan Mountain, follow the Eoseongjeongyegok Valley, which is situated at the uppermost part of Namdaecheon Stream. This area is known as a returning point for species like big-scaled redfin, sweetfish, and salmon from the sea. Beopsuchigyegok Valley is believed to be the origin of the main stream of Namdaecheon Stream. Its name is derived from the concept of the "water of wisdom", a Buddhist metaphor symbolizing the Buddha’s wisdom washing away earthly desires, reflecting the clarity of the valley's waters.

Beopgwangsa Temple - Pohang (법광사 (포항))

Gyeongsangbukdo 290, Sangeup-gil, Buk-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Beopgwangsa Temple is located at the foot of Bihaksan Mountain in the city of Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. It was originally built during the reign of King Jinpyeong (579-631) of the Silla Kingdom by Great Monk Wonhyo upon the order of the king. The temple used to be large measuring 525 kan (kan is a traditional measurement of distance between two columns, about 1.8 meters), but most of its buildings burned down in a fire in 1863. The current buildings were rebuilt in 1952. The site of the old temple is designated as Historical Site no. 493. Some of the remaining relics are a three-story pagoda, Bulsangyeonhwadaejwa (Buddha on a lotus stand), and a twin Ssanggwibu (turtle-shaped stone base of a monument).

Jejudo Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do With a total length of 4,481 meters, Bengdwigul Cave is shaped like a maze and has one of the most complex lava tube structures in the world. For geologists, this cave is invaluable since it demonstrates how lava continuously flowed over the surface of the ground and the complex route it took to eventually form a tube deep underground. Created particularly close to the earth’s surface, this cave has a number of entrance holes to the tunnel. Inside, the complex structure of the cave unfolds in the form of double-tiered or triple-tiered rooms. A range of lava formations such as lava columns and lava bridges have developed inside this mystical tube. * The UNESCO World Heritage designated Geomunoreum Lava Tube System of Bengdwigul, Manjanggul Cave, Gimnyeonggul, Yongcheondonggul and Dangcheomuldonggul Caves.

Sejong 217, Sinsong-ro, Sejong-si Beartree Park is a beautiful natural space in Sejong founded by entrepreneur Lee Jae-yeon. The park first started out as a private garden cared for by Lee personally. The garden was turned into a park and opened to the public in 2009, boasting a beautiful collection of flora and fauna. Indoor and outdoor botanical gardens, junipers, wild flowers, irises, and bonsais are tended with the utmost of care. In addition to the magnificent gardens, visitors can also observe family of deer, bears, birds, and more.

Baramssoeneun-gil Road (바람쐬는길)

Jeollabukdo 21 Baramssoeneun-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk-do Baramssoeneun-gil Road is the name of the path leading from Jeonju Eco Museum to Hanbyeok Tunnel. The pathway's name comes from the breeze that blows along the way, making it great for taking a walk. The road was also selected by the Korea Tourism Organization as one of the locations great for traveling with pets. There is also a bicycle rental station located along the road. Hanbyeok Tunnel at the end of the path is famous as a filming site for the drama "Twenty-five Twenty-one (2022)," with many people taking photos here as the main characters.

Baramsae Village Picnic Garden (바람새마을 소풍정원)

Gyeonggido Gung-ri, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do Baramsae Village Picnic Garden opened in 2013 as a waterside park in Pyeongtaek. The park serves as a space where nature and humanity can coexist in harmony. In 2018, the park was divided into four themed sections, including a section open in the evening. There are wooden walking paths and trails throughout the park, decorated with sotdae (wooden bird poles) and pinwheels.

Baraebong Peak (바래봉)

Jeollabukdo 196, Baraebong-gil, Namwon-si, Jeonbuk-do Baraebong Peak gets its name from its resemblance to an upside down barittae (a wooden rice bowl used by temple priests). The mountain is characterized by round slopes and fields of royal azalea flowers in spring. Trekking starts at Yongsan Village, 1.5 kilometers away from Unbong-eup. The trail follows a gentle path through a forest reserve behind a ranch and up to the peak. The last section of the trail before reaching the summit is covered in royal azaleas in full bloom from late April until May. The view from the peak includes the whole vista of Jirisan Mountain.
