The Peace Land (평화랜드)
Gyeonggido 148-33 Imjingak-ro, Munsan-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do The Peace Land is an amusement park located near the Imjingang River. It offers around twenty different types of rides, including a Viking ship, bumper cars, and merry-go-round. For added convenience, there is an unmanned convenience store on-site that accepts card payments exclusively, offering a variety of beverages, ice cream, and snacks. The park also has an infirmary where wound care is available. Nearby, visitors can enjoy the Peace Gondola, which provides a scenic way to cross the Imjingang River.

The Garden of Morning Calm (아침고요수목원)
Gyeonggido 432 Sumogwon-ro, Sang-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do The Garden of Morning Calm, nestled against the splendid backdrop of Chungnyeongsan Mountain, is a horticultural haven that blends the essence of Korean beauty with a diversity of themed gardens. Designed by Professor Han Sang-kyeong from Sahmyook University, this arboretum, which opened in May 1996, offers a tranquil retreat with forest paths and a dense pine nut grove for those escaping the bustle of the city. Its twenty thematic gardens are interwoven with well-kept grassy expanses, vibrant flower displays, and inviting nature trails. Among these, the Sunken Garden stands out, artfully representing the Korean Peninsula and its stunning landscapes using a rich array of blooming flowers, capturing the admiration of those who visit. Beyond this, the arboretum is home to an impressive collection of plant life, featuring more than 5,000 different species, including more than 300 varieties native to Baekdusan Mountain.

The 3rd Tunnel (제3땅굴)
Gyeonggido 210-358, Je3ttanggul-ro, Gunnae-myeon, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do The 3rd Tunnel is the third of its kind built by North Korea for the purpose of invading South Korea. It was discovered in 1978. Among the four tunnels located so far, it is closest to Seoul (about 52 km). It has a total length of 1.6 km and a x_width of 2 m. It is estimated that nearly 30,000 personnel can move through the tunnel every hour. Visitors to the 3rd Tunnel must reserve the tour in advance. The tour starts from the Imjingak Pavilion. All visitors are required to bring their identification, such as passports or Alien Registration Card (ARC).

Termeden Spa & Resort (테르메덴)
Gyeonggido 984 Sasil-ro, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do Icheon Termeden, Korea's first German-style spa resort, is spread over an area of around 30,000 square meters. It is located next to a dense forest, so visitors can enjoy the water and spa facilities as well as take a stroll in the forest. The water park has a very large bade pool, a hot spring spa, sport facilities, arcades, a cultural hall, and other subsidiary facilities. Unlike Japanese-style spas, which contain mainly hot baths, German-style spas are more focused on water massages. Water jets located in the bade pool shoot out water, which massages various parts of the body and at the same time revitalizes the skin. In addition, you can walk, swim, or exercise in the water stream pool, which has a depth of 120 centimeters. Icheon Termeden started as a hot spring spa, but it plans to expand further into a multi-resort complex, which will include hotel and condominium facilities, an arboretum, a golf driving range, and horseback riding.

Temporary Palace at Hwaseong Fortress (Hwaseong Haenggung Pa…
Gyeonggido 825 Jeongjo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do A haenggung is a temporary palace where the king and royal family retreated to during a war. Hwaseong Haenggung Palace is the largest one of these, used by the Joseon kings since the time of King Jeongjo (r. 1776-1800). In addition to being used as a shelter during war, King Jeongjo also stayed here during trips to worship at his father's tomb. The palace was the location of a splendid feast held on the 60th birthday of his mother, Hyegyeonggung Hong, and many other events, including award certificates for successful candidates of special national exams. These days, the palace serves as a venue for many traditional cultural performances and activities.

Soyosan Tourist Site (소요산국민관광지)

Suwonhyanggyo Confucian School (수원향교)
Gyeonggido 107-9, Hyanggyo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Suwonhyanggyo Confucian School was built in 1291 in front of Hwasan Mountain in Hwaseong where it stayed for nearly 500 years. It was moved to its current location in 1789 with the construction of Hwaseong Fortress. During the move, some of the original wood was exposed to water and began to rot. These parts were repaired in 1795 and efforts were made to prevent the wooden structure from futher damage. The current school is comprised of various halls, gates, and pavilions. It is registered as Gyeonggi-do Cultural Property and operates programs every summer for regional students.

Soulone Botanical Garden (소울원)
Gyeonggido 424-12, Geomsan-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Soulone, meaning "filled with laughter," is a healing space of approximately 13,200 square meters. The garden aims to provide a place where guests can rest their weary bodies and minds while being surrounded by trees and flowers. The garden is decorated with ornamental trees, rocks, and bonsai, along with other kinds of plants, like tropical plants in the greenhouse. A coffee shop with a modern interior allows visitors to enjoy the landscaped garden in comfort. More active guests can enjoy a light walk through a tunnel of trees on the mountain road. Nearby attractions include the Paju section of the DMZ, Paju Book City, and Paju Premium Outlets.

Suwon Workshop Street (수원 공방거리)

Suwon Jidong Mural Village (수원 지동벽화마을)

Murals with seven themes are painted on the 6km-long road, so just walking along the pictures is as fun as a treasure hunt. Suwon Hwaseong Special Tourist Zone (수원화성 관광특구)
Gyeonggido 780 Jeongjo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Hwaseong Fortress, Suwon, was built by King Jeongjo, the 22nd ruler of the Joseon dynasty, when he moved the tomb of his father, Crown Prince Sado, to Hwasan Mountain in Suwon. Because of its high historical and cultural value, it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. In 2016, the Hwaseong Fortress area, ranging from Paldalsan Mountain to Jangan Park, Yeonmudae Command Post, and Paldalmun Market, was designated as a special tourist zone, establishing itself as a representative tourist destination in Suwon visited by many tourists.

Gyeonggido Yeonghwa-dong, Jangan-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Suwon was one of four main regional government centers during the Joseon dynasty. Hwaseong Fortress, built to protect the city, was designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site on December 12, 1997 for its historical value. The fortress offers various performances daily as well as the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival every fall. The walls stretch for 5,700 kilometers, with Paldalsan Mountain at the center. The fortress, constructed from 1794 to 1796, was built as a display of King Jeongjo’s filial piety towards his father and to build a new pioneer city with its own economic power.

Suwon Chicken Street (수원통닭거리)
Gyeonggido 16 Jeongjo-ro 800beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Suwon Chicken Street, located in a small 100 m-long alley on Paldal-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon, is where about 11 stores, ranging from the original store that opened in 1970 to new ones, serve fried whole chicken. It is the tradition of Suwon Chicken Street to pour oil into a large cauldron and fry chicken. The menu only consists of fried chicken and seasoned fried chicken, but they are gaining popularity for their savory taste, different from those of famous chicken brands. In Suwon Chicken Street, you can meet the granny of “Maehyang Tongdak,” who has been selling fried chicken in Suwon Chicken Street since the 1970s using the chicken she raised in a chicken coop on a stall, as well as the famous “Yongseong Tongdak" and “Jinmi Tongdak" in this alley. The chicken price is low, so you don't have to worry about it. Thanks to plentiful servings and unique taste, the shops on this street are crowded with customers from all over the country, including students, who come having heard of the place by word of mouth.

Soraesan Mountain (소래산)
Gyeonggido Daeya-dong, Sincheon-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do Soraesan Mountain, with an altitude of 299 meters, is situated between Siheung and Incheon. Its name "Sorae" originates from the area's old name, reflecting its rich heritage. The scenic mountain features a forest park, badminton courts, basketball courts, futsal fields, and various other amenities. Notably, midway up the mountain stands the striking Standing Rock-carved Bodhisattva, an impressive 15 meters tall. With numerous hiking trails, the summit of Soraesan Mountain offers breathtaking views of the Yellow Sea, Seoul, and Incheon.
