Gyeongsangnamdo Neukdo-dong, Sacheon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Hallyeohaesang National Park is a national marine park that encompasses the most beautiful stretch of Korea’s south coast, covering parts of Sacheon, Geoje, Tongyeong, Hadong, Namhae and Yeosu. The total area of the park is 535.676 ㎢, of which 76% consists of ocean water. Not only does the park offer a outstanding view of mountains and the ocean, but it also serves as an educational site in reference to the Imjin War and the feats of Admiral Yi Sun-sin.

Gyeongsangnamdo Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Well-known for its uncontaminated clear waters, Hallyeohaesang National Park was the country's first national marine park. Hallyeohaesang National Park (Geoje District) (한려해상국립공원(거제))
Gyeongsangnamdo Jangseungpo-dong, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park was designated as the first national marine park in 1968 and covers the area between Jisimdo Island in Geoje and Odongdo Island in Yeosu with six separate districts including Geoje, Tongyeong, Sacheon, Hadong, Namhae and Odongdo Island. It spans over an area of 535.676 ㎢ and the ocean accounts for 76% of the total area. The outstanding view created by the sea and land attracts over 1 million visitors every year. Geoje is made up of 10 inhabited islands and 50 uninhabited islands. Two-thirds of the area is included in Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park, featuring Haegeumgang Islets, designated as Scenic Site No. 2, and Daebyeongdaedo Island & Sobyeongdaedo Island, one of the most stunning points of Hallyeo Waterway. Also, the drive on the coastal road between Yeocha and Hongpo offers a breathtaking view of Dadohae Islets unfolding from the peak of Cheonjangsan Mountain and Nojasan Mountain.

Hakdong Mongdol Beach (학동흑진주몽돌해변)
Gyeongsangnamdo 18-1, Hakdong 6-gil, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Hakdong Mongdol Beach, filled with small black pebbles, spans a distance of 1.2 kilometers and a x_width of 50 meters, covering a 30,000 ㎡ area. Walking on the pebbles stimulates acupressure points on the soles of feet, providing health benefits for visitors. Unlike other beaches on the southern part of the country, the water of Hakdong Mongdol Beach is deep with rough waves, but various water activities are available. There are accommodations and restaurants nearby and dock at the beach offers a boat excursion around popular attractions.

Haegeumgang Cruise (해금강유람선)
Gyeongsangnamdo 270 Haegeumgang-ro, Nambu-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Haegeumgang Cruise is a tour boat offering sightseeing trips around Haegeumgang Islets, also known as the Geumgangsan Mountain of the Sea, renowned for its stunning scenery in Geojedo Island. The cruise departs from a quay in Galgot-ri, Nambu-myeon, near Haegeumgang Village by the seaside. The Haegeumgang Islets, located approximately 500 meters offshore, allow tourists to view various natural attractions from the sea, such as Sipjadonggul Cave, Sajabawi Rock, and Chotdaebawi Rock. A valid ID is required to board the cruise.

Hadong Tea Cultural Center (하동야생차문화센터)

This annex of the museum is dedicated to hands-on programs. Main programs include a tea ceremony, a tea snack session (three-colored, sesame, and bean varieties), green tea seed accessory making, tea-leaf dyeing, make-your-own matcha class, tea-leaf picking, tea roasting, and a Doncha (compressed tea) experience.

Hadong Ssanggyesa Temple (쌍계사(하동))
Gyeongsangnamdo 59 Ssanggyesa-gil, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Ssanggyesa Temple was founded on the southern foothills of Jirisan Mountain in 722 during the reign of Silla King Seongdeok. The temple is famous for the 6-kilometer stretch of cherry blossom trees that bloom each spring. The temple was originally called Okcheonsa Temple, but was changed to the current Ssanggyesa Temple in 887. The current temple buildings were all built in 1632, after having been burned down during the Imjin War (1592-1598). The temple grounds and nearby area feature many historic and beautiful attractions, including Burilpokpo Falls and a large tea plantation.

Hadong Pine Forest (하동송림)
Gyeongsangnamdo 2107-8, Seomjingang-daero, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Hadong Pine Forest grows along the Seomjingang River near Seomjingang Iron Bridge. It was planted in 1745, during the 21st year of Joseon King Yeongjo’s reign, to block wind and sand. Now, it is one of the best pine groves in Korea. In a total area of 26,000 ㎡ are approximately 750 old-growth pine trees. Along with the white sand on the riverside, the forest provides picturesque scenery when seen from Hasangjeong Pavilion within the forest. The forest park is used as a venue for folk games and major events hosted by the local government. There are sports facilities and recreational facilities teenagers, children, and families can enjoy, attracting many locals and tourists.

Hadong Agyang [Slow City] (경남 하동 악양 [슬로시티])
Gyeongsangnamdo 357, Agyangseo-ro, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Agyang-myeon is located in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, surrounded by Jirisan Mountain and cut through by the Agyangcheon Stream. Hackberry Tree in Bukbu-ri (창원북부리팽나무)
Gyeongsangnamdo 102-1 Bukbu-ri, Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Hackberry Tree in Bukbu-ri is the most famous “celebrity tree” in Changwon. It became famous after appearing in episodes 7 and 8 of the popular drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo (2022).” The tree sits on a hilltop, allowing visitors to enjoy the cool breeze and the panoramic view of Changwon's old neighborhood. Bukbu-ri village entrance has signposts leading to the hackberry here and there with drawings of dolphins symbolizing the drama (the drama protagonist’s favorite animal), making it convenient for tourists to reach the tree. The hackberry tree is estimated to be over 500 years old, and its size and scale cannot be captured with a camera in one frame. It is a protected tree designated by the state, visitors are advised to refrain from touching or getting close to the tree.

Gyeonghwa Station Cherry Blossom Street (경화역 벚꽃길)

Goryeo-dong Historic Site (고려동유적지)
Gyeongsangnamdo 경상남도 함안군 산인면 모곡2길 53 Goryeo-dong Historic Site was founded by Yi O, a scholar of Goryeo who had unwavering loyalty to the Goryeo dynasty even after it fell. The village naturally formed by his descendants. Yi O built a stone fence around the area and called it Goryeo-donghak, meaning the home of Goryeo refugees. Yi never did serve the new government and asked his sons to also never serve the new kingdom or to move his body after he died. For over 600 years, 19 generations of Yi O have remained here, honoring his memory.

Gujora Fortress Sound of the Breeze Path (샛바람소리길)

Gujora Beach (구조라해수욕장)
Gyeongsangnamdo 2056, Geoje-daero, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Gujora Beach is not only known for its natural beauty and crystal clear water, but also as a beach that can be reached conveniently. It was initially used by U.S. soldiers when a prisoner-of-war camp was established in Geoje in the aftermath of the Korean War. After the beach was opened to the public in the 1970s, it became better known for its natural beauty than its military history. The beach is relatively shallow with warm water and stretches 1.1 kilometers long and has a x_width of 30 meters. It has many nearby attractions such as Mangsan Mountain, Sujeongbong Peak, Anseom Island, and Yundolseom Island, creating a beautiful view. Situated farther inland, partially encircled by the coastline, the water at Gujora Beach is calm and serene. A number of restaurants can be found nearby, mainly selling fresh hoe (sliced raw fish) as well as famous local produce such as anchovies and seaweed. Visitors can enjoy the nearby attractions such as Gujora Fortress as well as Haegeumgang, Naedo, and Oedo Islands by taking a cruise tour.
