Pasaseong Fortress Site (여주 파사성)
Gyeonggido Cheonseo-ri, Yeoju-gun, Gyeonggi-do The stone walls of Pasasan Fortress stretch along the ridge of the 250-meter-high Pasasan Mountain. The fortress is strategically situated for national defense by being located at the edge of the river bank, from which you can see both upstream and downstream. It is said that the fortress was constructed during the reign of the King Pasa, the 5th ruler of the Silla Kingdom. The walls stretch over 1,800 meters in length. At its highest point, the wall is 6.25 meters tall, and 1.4 meters tallat its lowest point.

Panmunjeom (Joint Security Area) (판문점)
Gyeonggido 148-40 Imjingak-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Panmunjeom is the site of the Armistice Agreement that signaled the ceasefire of the Korean War (1950-1953) and is located in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), just 50 kilometers north of Seoul. It remains a venue for talks between South Korea and North Korea, allowing visitors to observe North Korean troops up close. Since it is a civilian-controlled area, individual tours are not permitted; they must be arranged in advance through a tour operator designated by the United Nations Command. Visitors must bring valid identification, such as a passport or alien registration card.

Paldangho Lake (팔당호)
Gyeonggido Namjong-myeon, Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do Paldangho, a man-made lake, lies beside the townships of Toechon-myeon and Namjong-myeon in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. Completed in 1973, this reservoir stores approximately 250 million tons of water, which is supplied to the Seoul and Gyeonggi regions. It is also one of Gwangju's tourist attractions, offering an inspiring view and a scenic lakeside drive. Don’t miss a stop at the Paldang Observatory for a breathtaking view of Paldangho Lake.

Paldalmun Gate (팔달문)
Gyeonggido 780, Jeongjo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Paldalmun Gate is the southern gate of Hwaseong Fortress, and its name means "a gate opening to a road that leads to all directions." Among the four gates of Hwaseong Fortress, the northern and southern gates are bigger and more grandiose. The gate has an entrance wide enough to let the king's palanquin pass through and a watchtower over the entrance. Outside of the gate is a crescent-shaped protection wall called ongseong. Among the ongseong walls found across the country, Paldalmun Gate's ongseong wall stands out in terms of size and form. The hip roof and decorations seen on Paldalmun Gate's watchtower resemble that of fortress watchtowers, and are recognized as representation of late Joseon dynasty's watchtower architecture.

Paju Unification Park (통일공원(파주))
Gyeonggido 1586-24, Tongil-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Paju Unification Park was built in Bongseo-ri, Paju-eup, in June 1973 to pay tribute to the soldiers who fought in the defense of the South during the Korean War, as well as to pray for unification. It is situated near Munsan Station where the UN War Correspondent Center was located during the armistice talks. A monument rests within the park that pays tribute to the 18 Korean and foreign war correspondents who died trying to share their, often tragic, stories of the war. They include Han Gyu-ho of the Seoul Shinmun as well as journalists from the U.S. (10 people), Britain (4 people), France (2 people) and the Philippines (1 person). There is also a tower built to commemorate the loyalty and courage of 10 brave soldiers who sacrificed themselves in a bomb attack, a memorial tower dedicated to anticommunist guerilla units from the Gaema Plateau, and a statue of Colonel Lee Yu-jung and Second Lieutenant Kim Man-sul.

Gyeonggido 90, Jangneung-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Located in Paju, Jangneung is the tomb of King Injo (1595-1649, reign 1623-1649), the 16th ruler of the Joseon dynasty, and Queen Inyeol. King Injo took the throne in 1623 after having overthrown the previous king, Gwanghaegun, in a military revolt. During his reign, King Injo faced challenges from two foreign invasions in 1627 and 1637. He died in 1649 in Changdeokgung Palace.

Gyeonggido 148-73 Imjingak-ro, Munsan-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Located in the Imjingak Tourist Complex, the Paju Imjingak Peace Gondola is Korea’s first gondola to cross over the Civilian Control Zone. Connecting Imjingak Resort and Camp Greaves, the gondola is part of the peace and security tourism initiative, offering visitors a unique perspective on DMZ’s history and natural landscapes. As visitors glide across the river, they can see the barbed wire fences, surveillance posts, and other remnants of division. Paju Historical Site Related to Yi I (파주이이유적)
Gyeonggido 204, Jaunseowon-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Paju Historical Site Related to Yi I is dedicated to a great scholar of the mid-Joseon dynasty. He was born to Lee Wonsu and Shin Saimdang in 1536. He passed Saengwonsi, a type of preliminary exam in 1564 (the 9th year of King Myeongjong), and another 9 exams so he was called Gudo Jangwongong. He served in key positions. He is thought to be one of the top two scholars along with Yi Hwang. Jaunseowon Confucian Academy is home to the tablets of Yulgok Yi I and his family’s graveyard, located at the foot of Jaunsan Mountain. Jaunseowon Monument and Memorial Stone of Yi I Scholar are located here as well. Yulgok Memorial Hall displays his goods, and his biography. In February 2013, Jaunseowon Confucian Academy and the tombs of Yulgok Yi I and his mother Shin Saimdang were individually designated as Gyeonggi-do Cultural Assets, but the whole area as a whole is a designated National Historic Site under the name Historic Site related to Yi I.

Paju Book City (파주 출판도시)
Gyeonggido Munbal-dong, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Paju Book City was formed in 1989 by a group of publishers who sought to modernize the distribution structure of Korea’s publishing industry. The addition of structures later on created its current form as a cultural complex. Today, Paju Book City is home to a large collection of publishing houses, printing companies, and bookbinding companies. Some publishing houses run their own libraries, secondhand book shops, and thematic libraries. There are plenty of book cafés and art shops in the area, and visitors can also occasionally enjoy cultural events, lectures, and concerts by publishing houses.

Paju Bogwangsa Temple (보광사(파주))
Gyeonggido 87, Bogwang-ro 474beon-gil, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Bogwangsa Temple is a traditional temple located on the foothills of Goryeongsan Mountain in Paju. It was built by Great Monk Doseonguksa during the Silla Kindom period under the order of Queen Jinseong in AD 894. At the time, it was considered a hidden national treasure and one of the six grand temples located on the northern side of the Hangang River. In was once ruined during the Imjin War, and reconstructed in 1622 by Monk Seolmi and Monk Deogin. In 1667, Monk Jigan and Monk Seok Ryeon reconstructed Daeungbojeon Hall and Gwaneumjeon Hall.

Osan Dolmen Park (오산 고인돌역사공원)
Gyeonggido 449, Sumogwon-ro, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do ◎ Travel information to meet Hallyu’s charm - "Our Beloved Summer"It is a park with nine table-style dolmens scattered around. This is the place where the two main characters in school uniform sat in a small cabin that says “Forest Library.” The scene where the two kissed for the first time while avoiding the rain was filmed here. As the name suggests, it is a place where anyone can rest and read a book in the metasequoia forest. If you sit in the same spot and take a picture, you can get a nice photo. In addition, each zone has a lot of things to see, such as performance halls, sculptures, rose gardens, and wetlands, which are loved by citizens.

Old House of Chang Ucchin (장욱진고택)
Gyeonggido 119-8 Mabuk-ro, Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do The Old House of Chang Ucchin was the home of the famous Korean artist, one of the first to paint in the Western style in Korea. Chang created many works of art while living here from 1986 until his death. The house was registered as a National Cultural Heritage in 2008, and features a traditional house built over 120 years ago, as well as a Western-style building added on later, based on his 1953 painting "Scene with a Car." Visitors can see the red brick walls, black roof, and main entrance flanked by windows just like in the painting. The small hanok building is built in a square shape, with an anchae (inner room) and sarangchang (guestroom/study). The annex building is now used as a traditional tea house and gift shop.

Odusan Unification Observatory (오두산 통일전망대)
Gyeonggido 369 Pilseung-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Located in Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju-si, Odusan Unification Observatory was established to console the feelings of dispersed families and provide an educational site for the unification education through 5F to B1 in 1992. The observatory is situated in the northernmost ceasefire line of the western front where the Hangang River and Imjingang River meet. It offers a wide view of Songaksan Mountain in Gaeseong to the north and 63 Building in Seoul to the south. Also, it is a valuable unification security tourist attraction related to Imjingak, the 3rd Tunnel, and Panmunjeom (Joint Security Area) stretching along Jayu-ro Road in the northeast. Since its opening, almost 1,900,000 people have visited the observatory to feel the reality of the division, making this area the best national unification education site.

Namhansanseong Trail (남한산성 탐방로)

Mulhyanggi Arboretum (물향기수목원)
Gyeonggido 211, Cheonghak-ro, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do Mulhyanggi Arboretum is located in Sucheong-dong of Osan, Gyeonggi-do, known since the past to have clear flowing water. The arboretum is 34 hectare in size with 19 different themed gardens with over 1,920 different plants and flowers.
