Soyang Dam (소양강댐)
Gangwondo 1128, Sinsaembat-ro, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do Built in October 1973, Soyang Dam is the largest dam in Korea. It stands 123 meters high and 530 meters long and can hold up to 29 million tons of water. The stored water which has become Soyangho Lake, is Korea's largest man-made lake, spanning a large area that borders the Gangwon-do cities and districts of Chuncheon, Hongcheon, Yanggu, and Inje. Visitors can enjoy riding a ferry or walking on the 2.5-kilometer walking trail. Various restaurants and attractions are also nearby.

Suyanggae Light Tunnel (단양 수양개빛터널)
Chungcheongbukdo 390, Suyanggaeyujeok-ro, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Built during the Japanese occupation, Suyanggae Tunnel has a length of 200 meters and x_width of 5 meters. The tunnel was neglected for many year until recent rennovation into a light tunnel. The light tunnel consist of updated videos, sound system and LED media facade, drawing visitors both locally and internationally.

Southernmost Theme Park (최남단체험감귤농장)

Suwonhyanggyo Confucian School (수원향교)
Gyeonggido 107-9, Hyanggyo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Suwonhyanggyo Confucian School was built in 1291 in front of Hwasan Mountain in Hwaseong where it stayed for nearly 500 years. It was moved to its current location in 1789 with the construction of Hwaseong Fortress. During the move, some of the original wood was exposed to water and began to rot. These parts were repaired in 1795 and efforts were made to prevent the wooden structure from futher damage. The current school is comprised of various halls, gates, and pavilions. It is registered as Gyeonggi-do Cultural Property and operates programs every summer for regional students.

Soulone Botanical Garden (소울원)
Gyeonggido 424-12, Geomsan-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do Soulone, meaning "filled with laughter," is a healing space of approximately 13,200 square meters. The garden aims to provide a place where guests can rest their weary bodies and minds while being surrounded by trees and flowers. The garden is decorated with ornamental trees, rocks, and bonsai, along with other kinds of plants, like tropical plants in the greenhouse. A coffee shop with a modern interior allows visitors to enjoy the landscaped garden in comfort. More active guests can enjoy a light walk through a tunnel of trees on the mountain road. Nearby attractions include the Paju section of the DMZ, Paju Book City, and Paju Premium Outlets.

Suwon Workshop Street (수원 공방거리)
Gyeonggido Namchang-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Suwon Workshop Street stretches from the plaza of Hwaseong Haenggung Palace to the Nammun Rodeo Youth Culture Performance Hall near Paldalmun Gate. The street is lined with workshops where artists display and sell their handmade crafts. Visitors can engage in various craft experiences, including woodcraft, hanji (traditional Korean paper) craft, ribbon craft, sewing, and metalworking, while also shopping for unique handmade items. In addition to the workshops, the street features Haenggung Sarangchae, a cozy spot for travelers to unwind, the Museum of Memories, and several charming cafés.

Soswaewon Garden (담양 소쇄원)
Jeollanamdo 17, Soswaewon-gil, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do Soswaewon Garden is a private garden from the Joseon period where Korea's traditional beauty is preserved. It was built by Yang San-Bo (1503-1557) after he gave up his success when his mentor Jo Gwang-Jo (1482-1519) was killed during political strife. Soswaewon Garden presents itself as a clean and transparent garden where the righteous enjoy the life of anbinnakdo (being comfortable amid poverty and taking pleasure in an honest lifestyle) surrounded by a bamboo grove. Including peach trees, various kinds of trees and grass are planted on both sides of the stream while clear water flows down the foot of the garden walls. The log bridge above the valley adds to the charm of the scenery. The harmony between nature and the artificial waterfall is a sight to behold. Soswaewon Garden is 150 meters away from the main road. Passing through the thick bamboo forest, you will find the small valley and Soswaewon Garden on your left.

Suwon Jidong Mural Village (수원 지동벽화마을)
Gyeonggido 75-5 Changnyongmun-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do A friendly alley with Kuk Yeonsoo’s houseJidong Mural Village is a neighborhood with many winding alleys where Kuk Yeonsoo lived. Murals with seven themes are painted on the 6km-long road, so just walking along the pictures is as fun as a treasure hunt. As you walk, you will see a familiar green gate next to Jidong Supermarket, which is the house of Kuk Yeonsoo in the drama. As rainbow murals often appeared on the opposite side in the drama, there are many fans who take proof shots here.

Suwon Hwaseong Special Tourist Zone (수원화성 관광특구)
Gyeonggido 780 Jeongjo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Hwaseong Fortress, Suwon, was built by King Jeongjo, the 22nd ruler of the Joseon dynasty, when he moved the tomb of his father, Crown Prince Sado, to Hwasan Mountain in Suwon. Because of its high historical and cultural value, it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. In 2016, the Hwaseong Fortress area, ranging from Paldalsan Mountain to Jangan Park, Yeonmudae Command Post, and Paldalmun Market, was designated as a special tourist zone, establishing itself as a representative tourist destination in Suwon visited by many tourists.

Sosuseowon Confucian Academy [UNESCO World Heritage] (소수서원 […
Gyeongsangbukdo 2740, Sobaek-ro, Yeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Sosuseowon Confucian Academy is situated at the foothills of Sobaeksan Mountain. Sosuseowon was the first to receive a royal charter as a private Confucian academy along with financial support and acknowledgement by the king. This academy was originally founded under the name Baegundongseowon in 1542 by a Confucian scholar Ju Se-bung, who was also the magistrate of Punggi County at the time. Baegundongseowon first started as an academic institution that enshrined a memorial tablet of An Hyang, a Confucian scholar whom Ju Se-bung had deep respect for. After Ju Se-bung left the county, Toegye Yi Hwang, a renowned Confician scholar, became his successor and made an official request to the king to be granted a royal charter. The request was well received, and the king renamed the institution to its current name, Sosuseowon.

Gyeonggido Yeonghwa-dong, Jangan-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Suwon was one of four main regional government centers during the Joseon dynasty. Hwaseong Fortress, built to protect the city, was designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site on December 12, 1997 for its historical value. The fortress offers various performances daily as well as the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival every fall. The walls stretch for 5,700 kilometers, with Paldalsan Mountain at the center. The fortress, constructed from 1794 to 1796, was built as a display of King Jeongjo’s filial piety towards his father and to build a new pioneer city with its own economic power.

Suwon Chicken Street (수원통닭거리)
Gyeonggido 16 Jeongjo-ro 800beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do Suwon Chicken Street, located in a small 100 m-long alley on Paldal-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon, is where about 11 stores, ranging from the original store that opened in 1970 to new ones, serve fried whole chicken. It is the tradition of Suwon Chicken Street to pour oil into a large cauldron and fry chicken. The menu only consists of fried chicken and seasoned fried chicken, but they are gaining popularity for their savory taste, different from those of famous chicken brands. In Suwon Chicken Street, you can meet the granny of “Maehyang Tongdak,” who has been selling fried chicken in Suwon Chicken Street since the 1970s using the chicken she raised in a chicken coop on a stall, as well as the famous “Yongseong Tongdak" and “Jinmi Tongdak" in this alley. The chicken price is low, so you don't have to worry about it. Thanks to plentiful servings and unique taste, the shops on this street are crowded with customers from all over the country, including students, who come having heard of the place by word of mouth.

Soraesan Mountain (소래산)
Gyeonggido Daeya-dong, Sincheon-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do Soraesan Mountain, with an altitude of 299 meters, is situated between Siheung and Incheon. Its name "Sorae" originates from the area's old name, reflecting its rich heritage. The scenic mountain features a forest park, badminton courts, basketball courts, futsal fields, and various other amenities. Notably, midway up the mountain stands the striking Standing Rock-carved Bodhisattva, an impressive 15 meters tall. With numerous hiking trails, the summit of Soraesan Mountain offers breathtaking views of the Yellow Sea, Seoul, and Incheon.

Suwon Bongnyeongsa Temple (봉녕사 (수원))

Soraepogu Pocha Street (소래포구 포차거리)
