Janghohang Port (장호항)

The port is famous for its round beach line and white sand shore and is known as the “Naples of Korea.” From the beach, Janghohang Port offers excellent views of unique rock formations in the sea. Jangheung Jeongnamjin (정남진(장흥))

Jeollanamdo Gwansan-eup, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do Jangheung-gun’s Jeongnamjin is the warmest place on the Korean mainland. The region has a diverse natural environment including stunning views of mountains, fields, the ocean, lakes, rivers and streams. Jangheung Cheongwansa Temple (천관사(장흥))

Jeollanamdo 1272-473, Chilgwan-ro, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do Cheongwansa Temple is situated in the middle of Cheongwansan Mountain and is believed to have been built by Monk Tongyeong during the Silla Kingdom. It was once home to over 1,000 monks in its 89 buildings. Beneath the temple’s humble exterior is an impressive collection of cultural properties including Cheongwansa Three-Story Pagoda (Treasure), Cheongwansa Seokdeung (stone lantern), Five-Story Pagoda, and Jangheung Tapsansaji Seokdeung (stone lantern). In addition, Cheongwansan Mountain is known for beautiful camellias in spring and gorgeous silver grass in fall as well as an array of fascinating rock formations. Visitors can also enjoy the views of Dadohae (an archipelago) from the top of the mountain.

Janggakpokpo Falls (장각폭포)

Gyeongsangbukdo 740 Hwabuk-myeon, Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Janggakpokpo Falls cascades from Cheonwangbong Peak, the summit of Songnisan Mountain. This six-meter-tall waterfall, with its abundant flow, creates a magnificent vista framed by uniquely shaped rocky cliffs and ancient pine trees. The waterfall's roar is thunderous and its pool deep, contributing to its grandeur. Above the falls lies Geumnanjeong Pavilion, and below it, Hyangbukjeong Pavilion, together presenting a stunning tableau of mountain, waterfall, and pavilion.

Jangchungdan Park (장충단공원)

Seoul 261, Dongho-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul Jangchungdan Park is located on the northeastern foot of Namsan Mountain. On August 20th, 1895, Empress Myeongseong was killed by Japanese soldiers in Gyeongbokgung Palace and many Korean soldiers such as Yi Gyeong-jik and Hong Gye-hun died while trying to hold back the intruders. In memory of these soldiers, Emperor Gojong built the Jangchungdan Shrine in November 1900 at the current site of the Shilla Hotel guesthouse. The shrine was lost during the Korean War and the area was renovated into a park in 1919. On September 22, 1984, Jangchungdan Park was designated the 374th neighborhood park of Korea and part of the park was merged with Namsan Park. The remaining area retained the name “Jangchungdan Park” and is still home to cultural assets such as the Jangchungdan Memorial Stone, Supyogyo, Seungjeongjeon, Gwanseongmyo, and Waryongmyo. The park is considered a landmark of patriotism since it contains the 1919 Independence Movement of Korea Memorial Stone and other monuments dedicated to people such as Han Yong-un, Yu Gwan-sun, and Gim Yong-hwan who fought for the independence of Korea.

Jangboksan Sculpture Park (장복산조각공원)

Gyeongsangnamdo 56-42, Jangboksan-gil, Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Jangboksan Sculpture Park stands as the unofficial gateway to Jinhae at the end of Jangbok-ro Road between Masan and Jinhae. Built in 1979 in the wake of a mountain landslide, the park offers a panoramic view of Jinhae and its quiet waters. In spring, more than ten thousand cherry trees interspersed throughout the pines come to full bloom, permeating the air with their sweet fragrance.Nearby attractions include Daegwangsa and Jinheungsa Temples, the Citizens’ Hall, the Gyeongnam Literary Hall, and Jinhae Park Land, located halfway up Jangboksan Mountain. To visit these attractions and explore the beauty of the forest, simply follow the walking trail from Jinhae Girls’ High School to the park (1.5 kilometers) and continue walking along the path from the Jangboksan Rest Area to Gumajin Tunnel (1 kilometer).

Jangansan County Park (장안산군립공원)

Jeollabukdo Jangan-ri, Jangsu-gun, Jeonbuk-do Situated in Jangsu-gun in Jeollabuk-do, Jangansan Mountain (alt. 1,237 m) was officially designated a county park in 1986. Deoksan Valley Stream, which originates in the southwestern part of Jangansan Mountain and flows into Yongnimcheon Stream, is famous for the Deoksanyongso Waterfall Basins and the 20 or so large rocks that dot its banks. The sprawling fields of reeds along the East Ridge are also a major draw, undulating like waves of gold in the crisp autumn wind. In particular, the east hiking path on Jangansan Mountain is lined with a wide field of silver grass making it popular among hikers.

Jamwon Hangang Park (잠원한강공원)

Nearby attractions include athletic facilities (running tracks, soccer fields, basketball courts, etc.), various water sports facilities, and an 8.2-kilometer inline skating path. A bicycle path along the Hanfgang River, an outdoor swimming pool in summer, and a snow sledding center in winter are the most frequently used ones by may citizens. Jamwon was once a mulberry field, so there is also a thematic nature learning center that depicts the life of the silkworm.

It features facilities such as the Jamsil Hangang Swimming Pool and the Jamsil Natural Learning Center, where visitors can observe various aquatic plants and fish. Visitors can also enjoy the Hangang River's night view from the observation deck café installed on Jamsildaegyo Bridge. Jamjindo Island (잠진도)

Incheon 144, Jamjindo-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon Located in Jung-gu, Incheon, Jamjindo Island is a small island connected with Yeongjongdo Island. A road from the mainland to the island makes access to Jamjindo much more convenient. Its sunset views of mud flats dyed fantastic shades of red by the setting sun attract many visitors to take pictures and to dig out clams at low tide. There are also crowds of visitors waiting to take the short (just 5 minute) ferry ride to Muuido Island (famous for connecting to Silmido Island) at the ferry dock in Jamjindo Island. Visitors should check the schedule of the ferry in advance as the ferry may not run to Muuido Island at low tide. Eurwangni Beach, Hanagae Beach, and Deokgyo Beach are easily accessible to the island.
