Gyeongsangnamdo Sanyang-eup, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park was designated as the first national marine park in 1968 and covers the area between Jisimdo Island in Geoje and Odongdo Island in Yeosu with six separate districts including Geoje, Tongyeong, Sacheon, Hadong, Namhae and Odongdo Island. It spans over an area of 535.676 ㎢ and the ocean accounts for 76% of the total area. The outstanding view created by the sea and land attracts over 1 million visitors every year. The Tongyeong district of the park encompasses Dadohae Islets, Bijindo Island and Haegeumgang Islets. The Donam Complex in Tongyeong is being developed as a world-class marine tourist attraction. On Hansando Island, there are many historical sites dedicated or related to the great Admiral Yi Sun-sin, such as battlefields where the admiral defeated Japanese naval forces. Other sites include those related to the Imjin War such as Jeseungdang, Chungnyeolsa and the turtle lighthouse. The Sanyang Road is a great driving course along where one can see the entire Mireukdo Island and appreciate the scenery. From Dara Park, visitors can enjoy the great view of Dadohae Islets. Major attractions include Hansando Island, Bijindo Island and Maemuldo Islands; the latter two are often said to be the focal point of this scenic sea park.

The total area of the park is 535.676 ㎢, of which 76% consists of ocean water. Gyeongsangnamdo Jangseungpo-dong, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park was designated as the first national marine park in 1968 and covers the area between Jisimdo Island in Geoje and Odongdo Island in Yeosu with six separate districts including Geoje, Tongyeong, Sacheon, Hadong, Namhae and Odongdo Island. It spans over an area of 535.676 ㎢ and the ocean accounts for 76% of the total area. The outstanding view created by the sea and land attracts over 1 million visitors every year. Geoje is made up of 10 inhabited islands and 50 uninhabited islands. Two-thirds of the area is included in Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park, featuring Haegeumgang Islets, designated as Scenic Site No. 2, and Daebyeongdaedo Island & Sobyeongdaedo Island, one of the most stunning points of Hallyeo Waterway. Also, the drive on the coastal road between Yeocha and Hongpo offers a breathtaking view of Dadohae Islets unfolding from the peak of Cheonjangsan Mountain and Nojasan Mountain.

Hallim Port (한림항)

It was the place where Min Seon-ah (played by Shin Min-a) tried to end her life by throwing herself into the water. Hallim Park (한림공원)

Jejudo 300 Hallim-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Hallim Park is one of the most popular tourist spots on Jeju Island, located approximately 33 kilometers west of Jeju-si and Hallasan Mountain along the beach in Hallim-eup. It faces the pleasant scenery of Biyangdo Island, Hyeopjae Beach, and Geumneung Beach. The park was established in early 1971 on barren land with the importation of tons of earth and the planting of assorted subtropical plants. Hallim Park, reaching almost 100 thousand square meters, has a variety of gardens that can be enjoyed in any season. Visitors can enjoy Palm Tree Road, Jeju Stone and Bonsai Garden, Water Garden, Subtropical Botanic Garden, and much more. The most famous tourist sites in Hallim Park are Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves, known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world. In addition, a folk village, children's amusement park, and outdoor resort facilities make it enjoyable for both children and adults.

Hallasan Mountain [National Geopark] (한라산 (제주도 국가지질공원))

Jejudo 2070-61 1100-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do Hallasan Mountain stands proudly at the center of Jeju Island and is perhaps the island’s most memorable landmark. Also called Yeongjusan Mountain, meaning "mountain high enough to pull the galaxy," Hallasan Mountain is widely known by scientists for its geological value. Designated as a national park in 1970, there are 368 parasitic cones called "oreum" (Jeju dialect meaning peak) around the main mountain. Hallasan Mountain is famous for its vertical ecosystem of plants that results from the varying temperatures along the mountainside. Over 1,800 kinds of plants and 4,000 species of animals (3,300 species of insects) have been identified; to explore the mountain's treasures, simply follow one of the well-developed hiking trails.

Halla Ecological Forest (한라생태숲)

Hakpo Coast (학포해안 (울릉도, 독도 국가지질공원))

Gyeongsangbukdo 166-29 Hakpo-gil, Seo-myeon, Ulleung-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do Hakpo is known for its beautiful coast as well as the remains that record the frontier history of Ulleungdo Island. There are agglomerate, tuff, and trachyte layers along the Hakpo Coast. The relatively hard trachyte layer that cannot be eroded by waves and remains has formed a cape (a large piece of land sticking out into the sea), while the agglomerate and tuff layers, which are subject to weathering and erosion, have formed a bay. Additionally, sea cliffs are found along the coast. As the lower part of the vertical columnar joints erodes, the upper part of the cliff collapses due to gravity, creating a steep cliff as the process is repeated. Visitors can also enjoy the atmosphere of Hakpo at the nearby Hakpo Campground.

Hakgasan Recreational Forest (학가산자연휴양림)

Gyeongsangbukdo 210, Hyuyangnim-gil, Yecheon-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do Hakgasan Recreational Forest is located in a valley on the northern side of Hakgasan Mountain, known for its clean air. The recreational forest has log cabins that harmonize with the nearby trees, creeks, and rocks, making visitors feel as if they are resting at a luxury villa. It is an ideal vacation destination for those who want to get closer to nature. There is a hiking path leading to the summit of Hakgasan Mountain from the forest, taking around 2 hours. Hakdong Mongdol Beach (학동흑진주몽돌해변)

Unlike other beaches on the southern part of the country, the water of Hakdong Mongdol Beach is deep with rough waves, but various water activities are available. Hakampo Beach (학암포해수욕장)

Hajodo Lighthouse (하조도 등대)

Jeollanamdo 429, Jododeungdae-gil, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do Hajodo Lighthouse is responsible for safely guiding ships passing through Jangjuk waterway, the key route that connects the southern and western coasts. The beacon can be seen from as far as 39 meters asea. The waters passing between Hajodo Island and Jindo Island move very quickly, making this lighthouse serve a very important role in maritime safety.

Hajodo Island (하조도)

Jeollanamdo 47, Changri-gil, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do Hajodo Island is named after the 154 small and big islands making up the islets that resemble a flock of birds. One of the beauties of Hajodo Island is the splendid harmony created between the land and sea. It offers a view of islands in the middle of the deep blue water, fishing boats moving across the calm sea, and the scenic landscape of a tranquil farming village. Visitors can camp at Sinjeon Beach or Morakkae Beach, and a particular treat this area offers a tour of the islands, which take visitors to the anchovy fishing grounds near Jukhangdo Island and to the baby islands in the area. Nearby is also Hajodo Lighthouse, standing 12 meters high. There is a superb trekking trail that provides an amazing view of Dadohae (Sea of Many Islands) as visitors walk up the path to the lighthouse. Taking a boat from Eoryupo Port to the lighthouse makes it possible to enjoy the sight of the coast’s majestic rugged cliffs.

Hajodae Unmanned Lighthouse (하조대 무인등대)

Gangwondo 99, Jojun-gil, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do The Hajodae Unmanned Lighthouse sits along a cliff with an old pine tree and overlooks the East Sea. Legend has it the name Hajodae came from the first sounds of Haryun and Jojun, two of the founding members of the Joseon dynasty who stayed nearby during one of their journeys. The area is famous as a filming spot for the drama "Taejo Wang Geon (2000)." A walk along the cliff will lead to a white lighthouse near the bridge beside Hajodae Cliff. A number of tourists also visit Hajodae for the beautiful sunrises and the beam of light from the lighthouse that appears when darkness falls.
