Lotte World Tower SEOUL SKY (롯데월드타워 서울스카이)

Seoul 300 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul SEOUL SKY is located on floors 117-123 of Lotte World Tower, the nation's tallest and the world's fifth tallest building. The observatory offers a panoramic view of the entire capital city, beautiful both day and night. SEOUL SKY is comprised of an exhibition zone, observation deck, sky deck, dessert cafe, sky terrace, lounge, and more. To get to Seoul Sky, visitors have to take the Sky Shuttle, a double-deck elevator that reaches a speed of 600 meters per minute. The one-minute ride feels quite short while watching the videos playing on the walls and ceiling. While waiting for the elevator up, visitors can enjoy art in the exhibition zone in basement levels 1-2. The exhibition includes artwork displaying the history, culture, and pride of Korea's foundation and success over the centuries. Visitors can also purchase Seoul Sky merchandise from the gift shop to remember their trip or give as a souvenir. The observation deck has two story-high glass windows for an uninterrupted view. The Sky Deck, located at 478 meters, holds the Guinness World Record as the highest glass-floored observatory in the world. On days when visibility is limited, visitors can still enjoy a clear sky through the Sky Theater. The 120 floor holds the Sky Terrace, open to the elements. Visitors looking for refreshments can enjoy the one-of-a-kind menu served at the dessert cafe Sky Friends Cafe on level 119, or refreshing wine sold at the premium lounge on floor 123. This cozy space is the highest lounge in Seoul and is perfect for taking in the view in a relaxing ambiance.

Lee Jang-woo's House (이장우 가옥)

Gwangju 21 Yangchon-gil, Nam-gu, Gwangju Designated the first Gwangju Folk Material on March 20, 1989, Lee Jang-woo's House is an upper-class, tile-roofed house with a gate, storeroom, servants’ quarters, detached building, and main building. The building is estimated to have been constructed in 1899 and is overall a sturdy example of Korean architecture, well-preserved in its original state. The L-shaped main hall of the historic building is rather large and consists of (left to right) a wooden verandah, a small room, a hall, the main room, a kitchen, and another small room. The room doors are double doors with a sliding door on the inside and a hinged door on the outside. Lee Hyo-seok Culture Village (이효석문화마을)

Gangwondo Wongil-ri, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do Lee Hyo-seok Culture Village is the place where the author Lee Hyo-seok (pen name “Gasan”) was born and raised. The village is also the setting of the author’s novel "When the Buckwheat Blossoms,” one of the most celebrated Korean short stories to date. In 1990, the village place was designated ‘first national cultural village’ by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The village is comprised of the author's birth house, a water mill, Gasan Park, Lee Hyo-seok Memorial Hall, and a buckwheat museum. During the peak of the blossoming season in early fall, the annual Lee Hyo-seok Cultural Festival takes place and visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of snow-white fields of buckwheat flowers. Lee Hyo-seok Cultural Festival commemorates the modern Korean writer and features buckwheat-themed programs. Events include a Hyo-seok essay contest, traditional performances, a costume parade, a photo contest, and "When the Buckwheat Blossoms" plays and related performances. During the festival, visitors can enjoy makguksu (buckwheat noodles) and memil buchim (buckwheat pancakes) and tour the locations that appear in the famous short story.

Gyeonggido 810, Taejang-ro, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do Hangang Central Park, which was constructed as a result of the development of Gimpo Hangang New City, boasts a fabulous trail from the Golden Waterway by the waterside path all the way to Laveniche Shopping District. Golden Waterway Laveniche continues along a 2.68-kilometer-long trail and displays a variety of sceneries from the south to the north. Designed after Venice, the city of water, Laveniche features many different shops along the water that runs 1.7 kilometers for a round trip. Various living goods shops, restaurants, and pubs are set up on both sides of the water near the Central Plaza so it is a perfect place to spend time healing after a light stroll and shopping.
